On Christmas Eve, Clara receives a charming nutcracker as a gift. That night, in an enchanted dream, the nutcracker comes to life and leads a courageous army of toy soldiers into battle against the fearsome Mouse King. After defeating the mice, the nutcracker transforms into a handsome prince and whisks Clara away on a breathtaking journey to the Land of Sweets. There, they are welcomed by the graceful Sugar Plum Fairy and treated to dazzling dances from around the world. The Nutcracker is famous for enchanting music, elaborate costumes, festive atmosphere, and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score. Our production features live music performed by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic for the December 4-6 performances.
